Fit Beyond the Gym
It all started with a gasp… "You commute from where??" "Its how long???" "How do you do it..? How do you get it all in?" "I could never do that…"

-Comments from friends, family, and strangers when I decided it was time to leave working from home and go to the complete opposite end and commute into Manhattan-

Healthy lifestyle living has been a part of my life for almost all my life. From childhood, as being the youngest rider to complete Missouri’s annual Multiple Sclerosis Fundraising bike tour… to competitive USCF bicycle racing in my teens… to prioritizing strength building, increasing cardio efficiency, and promoting overall healthy living into my adulthood- Fitness has always been a part of my life. However, fitness levels do not always equate to healthy balanced living. Don’t get me wrong they are highly correlated but having a healthy mind is just as important. Being able to balance social, work, family, and personal life into your overall routine is key in charting the path toward healthy lifestyle living.
Fitting it all in can be a challenge, especially when you are commuting 4-5 hours per day. But through a few tweaks, a few rounds of mindset-reset, a dash of dedication, and motivation- there are ways to getting it all in.
Whatever your commute or barriers may be- learn the techniques I used to optimize my day- so even with long commutes into the city I have not just been able to live a healthy lifestyle... I’ve been able to thrive and be the Fitter Commuter!
Tomorrow starts with Today
